SPECIAL CONCERT FOR THE EGYPTIAN RED CRESCENT. ALL PROCEEDS TO VICTIMS OF THE ANATOLIAN EARTHQUAKE AND WAR SUFFERERS. THIS WAS THE LAST CONCERT OF BRONISLAW HUBERMAN WITH THE ORCHESTRA. HE DIED IN NANT-SUR-CORSIER, SWITZERLAND, ON 15.6.1947, AT THE AGE OF 64. King Farouk was due to be present, had to cancel in the last moment and sent Prince Ismail Daoud instead. The entire evening was conducted as if the King had been present. The British Ambassador and Lady Lampson represented the goverment. In the interval Prince Daoud asked Huberman and Neumark to come to the Royal Box to receive his congratulations.
