In the beginning of the concert the orchestra played, without conductor, the Air from the 3rd Suite by Bach, in memory of Serge Koussevitzky, who died on 4.6.1951. Lars-Erik Larsson (1908–1986) was a Swedish conductor and composer. His work — first IPO performance.
