Ninth and last concert of an historical season opening, marking 50 years of Zubin Mehta as a Musical Director of the IPO. (Time to Celebrate Zubin Mehta) 50 years as Music Director – 50 years of music making In this concert the IPO names Zubin Mehta Music Director Emeritus. The “End of the Jubilee Celebration” is full of performers and works which have had a lasting imprint on the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Zubin Mehta. The new Musical Director replacing Mehta is Lahav Shani.
